As a native Dutchie, born and bred in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, having lived in 3 countries and polyglot of knowing more than 8 languages, it's not a surprising fact that I love languages and culture. I have been teaching for over 5 years and taught over 300 students, mostly in Australia. From kids to adults, from face to face to online and from beginners to advanced; I am that lucky person who has the opportunity to teach many students to become fluent in Dutch.

When do we begin?
You can start at any point. This is a self-paced course, so you can move through each section at your own pace. However, you will get emails from me to keep you on track.

The course is set up in 8 weeks with 8 different themes. In each week you will get 3 videos where you will have a class with me as if you are live in class with me. Each video has a purpose as shown in the course details on this page. At the end of each video you will have all the tools you need to practice on your own. This is your fast track option.
The other option is to commit to one video lesson and exercises a week. This means that in 24 weeks you will have received A1 level!
To accompany that, there are many exercises, games and vocabulary tools that will help you to reach the level and have fun along the way. I will guide you along with that so that the steps are easy and fun to take.

How much time should I dedicate to learning Dutch?
There is a lot of material for you to go through. That said, you can make the course as intense as you want. You can easily work on your Dutch 10 hours a week, or less, up to you! This is definitely a course that is suited to your lifestyle and schedule. That said, there will be 1-1.5 hour live class each week. There are also 3 videos that will be about half an hour each (around 1.5 hours). Then there are exercises as well. I suggest to spend at least 1 hour a week at your exercises. This will then come to 4-5 hours of studying each week. Again, you can do what you can do with your schedule. Trust that your learning will grow in time and that everything happens as it should be. I do recommend that ideally you spend at least 5-10 minutes each day to your practice. Especially in the beginning you will see that continuous practice and repetition really does help with speaking confidently!
Is the course 'live'?
Most of the course is self-paced. This means you can go through all the material, video lessons and exercises at your own pace. The recorded classes are there as well for your learning. The buddy classes are live and you can practice there with the other students. If needed, you can always book in a private session to work more on your Dutch!
What is the time schedule for the classes?
The classes are self paced, so there is no need to be available.

Since 2019 I have been helping many adults & kids to learn Dutch the fun way. After learning 6 languages in High School, becoming fluent in English whilst living in the US, I moved to Australia in 2017 to follow my dream.
One of those dreams is to help other people learn Dutch in such a way that they fall in love with learning, the language and our culture. I believe learning is fun and it improves the learning pace and enthusiasm of learning Dutch. My goal is to help English speaking people learn Dutch with ease and joy!
